Porta San Pietro is one of the five old districts in which the city was historically divided and belongs to the Parte de sotto (lower part of the town). The majesty and wealth of the ancient settlements of the Dominicans and Benedictines characterize the district also known as Borgo Bello because of the richness of its artistic buildings and its well preserved green spaces.
The most elegant route of the city starts from here and leads you up to San Lorenzo Cathedral through charming lanes, rich bourgeoisie buildings. It is a 2km long walk, among ancient remains, medieval architecture and contemporary buildings. It’s a sort of an open-air museum, in which you may still find craftsman's laboratories but also modern facilities as escalators. A place rich in history and art, where countless beauties hide behind every corner.
Bus terminal and train station are 10 minute walk from the House; they connect Perugia with the main tourist attractions and towns of the Umbria Region, such as Assisi, Spello, Spoleto, Norcia and Gubbio, Orvieto, Todi.

Reviews of this property
Although we were only a short time in Perugia, we really enjoyed it. The apartment was clean and spacious, and Matteo is very kind. Unfortunately we had some communication problems with the check-in, as we had a wrong telephone number and also the address was not correct. We had to call Wimdu to solve this, which cost us some time and trouble. Also there was no parking place near the house, which we had expected from the information at the website. We had to park it 10 minutes walk from the apartment. But after this somewhat difficult start everything was fine. Matteo even offered our son a garagebox for his bike for free, we really appreciated that!
