Reviews for this host's other properties
We enjoyed the privacy we had in Laurence's private room and the view over San Francisco. Close to public transport and quiet!
Nick and Laurence were great hosts, very friendly and helpful in finding sightseeing spots ang getting around the city.
The apartment itself is clean and cosy and has an amazing view over San Francisco Bay - definitely a better view than in most of the hotels you find in the city.
The apartment is very close to public transportation with a direct connection through town up to Fishermans wharf and offers a broad range of bars and restaurants in walking distance as well as grocery stores.
When we are coming back to San Francisco one day, this apartment will be definitely our choice again.
Thank you Nick and Laurence, see you soon

A room that has filled us! The house is beautiful, quiet and welcoming, spotlessly clean, perfectly located in a lively and engaging neighborhood, close to public transport (metro / bus / tram). The apartment housed in the attic gives an impression of space and independence. The city views are spectacular, day and night. The king bed was extremely comfortable.
Laurence and Nick are the perfect hosts: professional, very attentive to the needs and respectful of privacy. They will advise you if you ask, to find good restaurants in the area and suggest activities. The area offers a wide choice of world cuisine or food to take the apartment overlooking downtown.
Looking forward to returning one day without hesitation there. Again thank you to our guests.
Just i saw the attic i had the feeling to be in something special. I felt the calm inside of myself and the impression was very good. I felt really happy. Laurence and his beautiful labrador came to meet me and showed me the mansard. Everything was in the right place and cleaned. The attic is very big and bright. Also the bed is very big and comfortable. I was alone to spend my holiday week but i never felt lonely in that house. I ve nothing bad to say about the attic, it' s simply perfect according to my taste. And the best thing of that attic is the splendid view of San Francisco that i could enjoy from the large window. Thanks Laurence for everything and your kindness. Cinzia
We loved our stay in San Francisco.
The room was very spacy.
We had a gorgeous view over the city.
Due to our jetlag we saw every sunrise;)
Laurence and Nick were very nice and gave us much privacy.
If we ever come back we would definitely like to stay there again!
The appartment which is located in the attic of their house is fantastic - great view, good bed, clean & tidy and nice bath.
The host Laurence is great - amongst others, he gave good advice on what´s good in SF and the area.
Nick sent daily mails with tips and insights.
Will return to Nick and Laurence next time I´m in SF.

La experiencia ha sido fantastica.
Thanks Nick and Laurence for your gorgeous advices and your hospitality.
Nice nice to meet you.
Loved our stay in this cool SF artist's garret cum penthouse. It's much bigger than it looks on the photos; it actually takes quite a while to walk from one end of the apartment to the other! The bed is huge and comfy. The jacuzzi splendidly decadent and the view simply stunning.
The open bathroom arrangement is a bit strange, but as the place is so big, it really didn't cause us any problems. There is a shower attachment but as the roof slopes you can't stand up under it.
Our hosts, Nick and Laurence, were welcoming and helpful, and they seem to have thought of pretty much everything. It's a really comfortable place to stay and you feel pretty cool there too, as you lounge around drinking in the view of this fabulous city or sunbathing in front of the open window.
Not sure this place would be great for party animals. There is an expectation that you'll be quiet (being on the top floor and above everyone else). This was fine for us and meant that the whole building was v peaceful and quiet.
We thought the location of this apartment was great. Two mins walk to the Muni (10 mins to downtown from your front door) and historic F line streetcar and, on lots of other transport routes. If you walk a few hundred yards up the hill from the apartment you can get fabulous views from Corona Heights and Buena Vista parks. The Castro is also handy for the Mission, the Haight, painted ladies, Golden Gate Park, Twin Peaks and loads of other things you'll probably want to see.
The Castro was splendidly bonkers, and good fun, and welcoming for straight couples too. It's a far cry from Fisherman's Wharf, but you may just think that that's a good thing.
As already written by our predecessor both hosts couldn´t have been more kind and helpful. They provide as much information as possible in preparation of your trip and also during your stay, though we always had our privacy.
The location is perfect, convenient and calm neighbourhood, however in the middle of Castro with a good transport connection and many restaurants, bars and shops within splitting distance.
The appartment is clean and comfy, and, again, with a breathtaking view.
